The Roman Catholic Church continues to grow throughout the world and new churches are being built and are becoming very large. The pastor and priests of the parish have many demands on their time and are scheduled for many things. That's where we come in to help. We have designed homilies for every Sunday (and some holy days). These homilies that we produce are free, and we ask that you make a donation to our efforts on Church unity. We are also supporting children in Africa who receive support from your donation.
There are many things that a homilist will do to craft a very powerful and beautiful homily. The priest (or deacon) will read the Scripture passages for the day that they are preparing for. Once they know the context of the readings, they will then do research and find interesting facts, stories or supporting information to explain and break open the Scriptures. They will also look into daily news and try to weave into their homily current events. As you can see, there is a lot that goes into the study aspect of preparing to write a homily and that's where we come in. We have read the Scripture, done the research and added supporting information to make a dynamic homily. We also speak about Church unity to give it more substance.
After the research has been completed that supports the Scriptures for that day, the homilist usually types it up and continues to go over the homily to strengthen the message that is trying to be presented. That's where we come in. We have the Scripture readings all typed up and the homily too. We have designed the homily to reflect the Scriptures of the day and then craft an amazing homily that is ready to go. The homilist who uses our materials can tweak it and tailor make it to add parish events, names or whatever they want to include. The download that we send to the homilist is both in PDF and Word format.
Over the past several years, people have been sitting in the pews of the Church hearing from the same pastor every Sunday. Each homilist develops their own style and system in giving their homily. The danger of this is that complacency can set in and be a danger to both homilist and listeners. That's where we come in. We have developed some authentic, powerful, funny (at times), and beautiful homilies based on the Scripture of that day and we include Church dialogue ideas between East and West. We know that there is much information about the East that has not been presented before so this is an opportunity for the homilist to do something new and exciting.
The priests of the parish are very busy with dispensing the Sacraments, running the parish, giving spiritual direction and managing self care. The homily program that we have is to assist the priest/deacon in making the homily preparation and delivery much more efficient and powerful. Every priest wants to spend more time on writing and praying about what he is to say and that's where we come in. We have the Scriptures of the particular day already lined up and a homily already written. If the presider downloads our homily he is able to edit the text to fit in with his particular needs or stories. The homily that we have prepared is ready to go and it is powerfully written.
It's amazing how good everyone feels during and after Mass when the homily was good. We know that priests and deacons are delivering good homilies right now and we want to assist them in making them better. We are confident that the little information we include in each homily about Church Unity and how to breathe with both lungs (both East and West) will inspire more people in the parish to love their Church even more.
This is an excellent opportunity for us to work together. We want to produce the best homilies possible and we know that you do as well. We know that parish priests and deacons are very busy and do not have the time, usually, to spend on writing homilies. That's where we come in and can help you.
We focus on homilies as our charism and profession. We ask the Holy Spirit to inspire our hearts to write good homilies so that together we may share the good news with your people. And, we talk about Church unity from the Eastern perspective which gives a powerful differentiator and captures the attention of the listeners.
That's where we can help you!

The Institute for Eastern Christian Studies provides dialogue and does not necessarily represent the position of each faculty member. We are creating conversation to look at some of the challenges and opportunities that the Church has at this time.
